The point of a pocketknife is to be small enough to fit comfortably in your pocket, yet that often reduces our tool into nothing more than a dull blade that’s too small for real work. Giving you a real blade that just happens to weigh 4.2 oz, the Kershaw Shallot packs top design, plenty of safety features, and high function into a pocket-sized package.
Working with Sandvik Steel, Kershaw designed the steel for the blade- Sandvik 14C28N- specifically for the Shallot. As they added more nitrogen to the stainless steel formula, the steel resists corrosion, boasts a 58-60 Rockwelll rating, and can be sharpened without worry of wearing down. For additional utility, there’s a slight recurve in the blade to allow for easier multitasking.
Giving that blade a proper place to call home, the handle is made of 410 stainless steel with a bead-blasted finish. It also includes a frame lock, a reversible pocketclip, an ambidextrous flipper, and Kershaw’s patented SpeedSafe assisted opening. Proudly made in the USA, the Kershaw Shallot is a fully packed pocket knife with style to spare.
