A former marine with 22 years of experience making knives, Les George is handy with a blade. And it shows with the Kershaw Valmara: a 7.1-inch folder that’s equally ready for the field and daily tasks. The 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade measures 3 inches long. It’s got an aggressive recurve and lots of belly, making it a formidable slicer. But the tip is nothing to mess with when it comes to piercing tasks, either. Glass-filled nylon makes up the handle, which is cut with two large curves for comfy finger placement. Don’t worry about putting any scratches on the blade: The stonewashed finish will help hide them. Plus, you can carry it on either side thanks to the machined pocket clip holes on both sides of the handle. If all that wasn't enough, the knife is fitted with Kershaw’s signature SpeedSafe opening system for quick deployment when you need it most.
