Starting things off sharply, the 3.25 in, serrated blade is made from 8CR13MoV steel, an alloy that stays strong and provides solid edge retention. Given a bead-blasted finish for looks and a slightly dropped point for function, the Volt II takes the original’s design and widens its application. Now, the knife whips through thicker materials, making it a multi-utility blade that can be safely wielded by beginners thanks to the one-handed SpeedSafe assisted opening.
Off the Grip
Of course, that blade can’t just be carried around solo- it has to have a handle to go along with it. This iteration features a glass-filled nylon handle, primed for your use through finger contours and a diamond pattern that provides excellent grip.
