Greg.sThese flippers are now in a grey area again with Canadian customs. knifecenter.com cancelled an order i made as well. Any type of open assist mechanism is getting stopped at the border now, and it is at the expense of the buyer. you could even be looking at having to fight a fine for trafficking illegal weapons. better than complaining to massdrop and the distributors we need to complain to our local MPs and representative at levels of gov't that will ease the the flow of these tools across the border.

PhoxThat doesn't make sense. "Flippers" are available in Canada including amazon.ca. Why would Customs stop these? Do you know what makes them a grey area?

trader604what I got was...
"Pursuant to recent changes in Canada's importation regulations, items similar to the ones currently on your KnifeCenter order (assisted/flipper folders and/or finger rings with blades) have been confiscated by the Canada Border Services Agency. The order has not been shipped and your credit card has not been charged. We are only able to proceed with this order if it is prepaid via wire transfer ($30 bank fee) or money order; you would assume any and all risk involved."
That being said, I turned around and bought the exact same knife from amazon.ca. it cost more, but I know I am going to get it.
