I got this knife on the last drop. I'm not an expert on knives by any means but it has been perfect for backpacking. (for me) I've taken it on a couple trips and for just basic use around camp it has been great. I love the way it holds in my hand. It is a very solid and comfortable grip. For hunting I would stick to my larger knife. The sheath does seem like it may get loose with time as there is no locking mechanism. This is really only a concern if you wear it around your neck though. For my use this knife is perfect.
