I'm not too much a fan of the design, for a fixed blade I prefer a bit more security that if my hand slips I'm not going to slice it open. From the pictures it looks like the blade is standing just not quite far enough from the hilt or to far from it. If I'm going fixed I prefer a bit more of a guard or that the blade lines up along it so that if my hand slips it shouldn't cut unless you grip down. It's very easy in wet slippy conditions to have your grip slip and this looks like you would need to be pretty fast in letting go or it would give you a nasty bite.
But that's just personal preference, I know what I like in the design of knives. Personally I know what I would change, but this design has it's merits.
