I don't understand why they would ever sell it in aluminum or copper. Both of these metals are incredibly soft and will be ruined on their first use... Do not buy if you want a lasting tool...

kuhnsrcYou are incorrect. I've been using my Copper Keybiner since I got it in in April of last year. It's regularly clipped to my belt, and I'm not exactly sedentary. I've got two keys under the zigzag part, and a Prometheus quick release connected to the bottom with my car key and a TUKK on it.
Everything works great. IT's not that heavy, and I clip it onto the side loop and slip it into my backpocket so that it stays in one places.
kuhnsrc15K KeyBiners sold to date, We have had exactly 2 deformations reported to us. Both in aluminum. One was ran over by a tractor trailer, I cant recall the exact circumstances of the other incident, I believe it revolved around heavy equipment. We replaced both out of courtesy to our customers. 6061 is a very strong version of aluminum. No you can not remove your lug nuts with this keychain. But you need to keep in mind its first purpose is just that, a Keychain. Light weight is what most people would like. As for the copper we do use a Full hard C110 that is very resistant to wear and bending. It may be possible to fatigue the copper to failure however we have not seen this happen once. Most choose copper as they like the look, and heft of the material, as well as the unique aging characteristics
