A brief reflection and look at how far our community has come since joining. I’ve been in the mechanical keyboard hobby for a very long time. It started as a high school student’s search for a keyboard for writing novels back in the 2008-2009 school year. I thought I wanted to be an author and I felt I needed a keyboard that I could sit down to at my desk and just write. After researching, joining forums, and saving money, I made my first purchase in the hobby, a blank black Happy Hacking Keyboard Professional 2. I still own this keyboard and while it is heavily modded now, it remains one of my all-time favorites. My HHKB Pro2 with MitchCapped Accents Many people would have stopped there, but keyboards became a hobby. I enjoyed learning about them, and early on, I enjoyed hunting for them in thrift shops. I would dig through bins at Goodwill and Salvation Army while popping keycaps off with paperclips looking for mechanical switches. I searched for a birthday Model M...

Relevancy aside, I have done my best to leave many of your comments untouched and I prefer to avoid getting directly involved in any form of moderation until absolutely necessary. Instead, I try to believe that some sense of general decency will eventually inspire everyone to a tone of respect and understanding; even if it requires some squabbling to reach that point.
However, you have repeatedly demonstrated your feelings of general disdain and disrespect to anyone who responds and have instead escalated the level of insults to your fellow community members. Your insistent resurrection of 50+ week old comments to simply insult a person’s sentence structure adheres to no standard of quality as I measure it and for that reason they were removed.
I encourage you to read the following post for further elucidation into how I measure the “quality of comments”: https://www.massdrop.com/talk/51/discussion-guidelines
Have a good weekend.
"civil" and "decent" are never defined. I can only take those to mean whatever the mods like. By the Discrimination heading I take that I can get comments that address only guys or all as guys deleted. But I doubt you'd enforce your own guidelines if they contradict your worldview.
Morals and laws vary nonetheless.
You may feel free to flag any comment you feel warrants such action and I will do my best to objectively judge it by the same standards I use for every comment. As mentioned, I prefer not to be involved with actually removing or modifying the discussion until a certain point, but I will always look into any content that has been flagged regardless of my own opinions or biases.
I welcome the conversation that may expand my views on most any subject so long as the standard of mutual respect is maintained.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.
