I haven''t found a way to reach any ssort of customerrrr support either. This wilill be the last item I ever buy from Keycool unllless they actually do something to addrresss thiis. This iis absollutely unacceptable!!!

I've gone to their website and submitted a request and sent email. Hopefully I will hear back...
So mine has developed the keychatter issue. It started doing it when I swapped out the keycaps but it's progressively gotten worse. This weekend I finally had the time and pulled it open. I was hoping that I would find poor soldering joints. Nothing really jumped out at me, but I figured I've got nothing to lose. I went through and reflowed every solder joint for all the keys on the board. Well it's better, but still not fixed. So I don't know. Might try it again on the problem keys.
All that said, this is unacceptable. I've put way more keystrokes on other boards with zero issues. I don't know if it is an issue with the board manufacture or the Kailh switches, but it really doesn't matter. Ultimately I've got a keyboard which is frustrating to use and provides a worse experience than a $15 membrane keyboard.
DO NOT BUY KEYCOOL PRODUCTS. After the KC64 drop and the KC60 drop problems, it is clear that Keycool does no QA and buyers of their products will get burned.
This is the least attractive drop I've seen since joining Massdrop. Crappy keys, crappy build quality, and horrible switches. Plus too, I'm typing this comment on a KBParadise GTR that costs exactly the same amount but is infinitely better in quality.
In case this isn't obvious, if you're new to mechanical keyboards, I'd steer clear of this one...
Alrigh't so I madeee a commeent 9 months ago how this keeyboard is having probleem typing duplicatee leetteers. Weeell I'm sorrry to say it's only gotteen worrrse ssince then.. I am typiing this exactly as it comees out just to deemonstrate how ridiculous this iiss. I DO NOT REECOMMEEND GETTING THISS KEYBOARD AT ALL!!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS KEYBOARRD AT ALL!!!!!! It's prrrobably one off the worst iinvvestmeents evveer!!!!!!! Next time I'll stiick to buying rreal cheerry mx switches insteead offf trrying to saveee a few bucksss. Honeesstly fffuck this keyboarrd, jusst remove it offffff the damee wwebsiite. This iisss sso horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ass aa sstudeent who hasss to type a lot, this isssn't going tto work out at all...

Yikes! I've had a Keycool TKL and the build quality was fine - similar even to my Filco Majestouch TKL. My Keycool however had Cherry Reds, not these Kailh switches so this is probably the main factor in the difference of quality. The only reason my Keycool had to go is because I don't have room for two TKL boards with Cherry Reds anymore, and the Filco has a special place in my heart.
Were you not able to RMA your board?
BobtheSpaceCadet
Does keycool even support RMA? I thought they didn't because it was imported product from China? If they do think you can point in me in the right direction? I actually got a new keyboard already though, just went with a Logitech g710+.

I've had this board for a year, but have only actively used it for the last month.
When I initially received this board from Massdrop last year, the left shift key did not work. I did not receive any communication from MD, after multiple tickets. I opened the keyboard case, and discovered a very poor soldering job on the switch. I de-soldered the switch, then re-soldered it, and it started working.
I started using the board as my main about a month ago. In that time, I've noticed strange flickers in the RGB, and some keychatter. The flickers have been getting worse. The board has now started dropping keypresses altogether.
For those of you who have joined this drop, be aware of serious quality issues from this manufacturer. For those that are interested in buying the board but have not joined the drop, understand that this board is cheap for a very good reason.

This was my first mechanical keyboard. After a year it started suffering from severe keychatter. I opened it up and cleaned it, and that solved 90% of the problem. Still chatters on E and T though, and the brown switches that I chose were getting a bit mushy for me. Replacing this with a Code keyboard (with clears). The RGB backlights get old after a few weeks, and I need a dependable, solid keyboard, that doesn't need to be so flashy.

Dude I agree with you I've had mine fforrr 17 months now and this is honestly rrriidiculous, I'm typing exactly as it comes out just to demonstrrate how bad it has gotten
If anyone wants the white on white with Kailh blue switches I have one for sale https://www.reddit.com/r/mechmarket/comments/4zm1ob/usohhcorsair_k70_mx_blueranto_pad_gateron_blue/ for 70 and shipping included. It was very gently used and it was for typing only just wasn't for me.
Please don't get this keyboard. Kailh switches are really bad.
tyuyhnbnm
they aren't that bad, I got Kailh Blues for around 50$ and they are pretty good, just a small wobble and a tad bit musher but has the mechaniCal feel and click of Cherry MX blues
Rasaska
I don't know about blues, as I got Kailh Reds. But if I can feel the switches being "stiffer" after using it couple of days, the build quality of those switches must be really bad.e
Also if anyone's wondering if you can switch out the key switches, you can, but the desoldering on this board was really hard.
looks good for a gold macbook lol
I got this keyboard in may of last year with black switches. I replaced the key caps with the vortex shine throughs and love it. I have not experienced any of the problems others have expressed but most of my use is browsing/gaming.
I want to throw my two cents in on this product as well. I purchased one of these back iin April of last year. It developed the 'chattering' issue about a month or two ago. I checked and it only had a year warranty and it did make it past that pointt before I started having issues. I'm typing on it now and am deliberately leaving in the chatter. It's not horrendous, but it is annoying. I'm going to explore some of the workarounds that this thread suggested. If I were buying another one of these, I'd want to know how many peoplle were experiencing issues with keys chattering. I've never had that issue before, even on cheap keyboards. I have the brown switches in case anyone wants to know what type I have. Asiide from the chattering, I like the keyboard. The acttion of the keys is good and the LED's work as advertised.
That_One_Guy
yikes, i just ordered the same one with brown switches...

I just installed "Keyboard Chattering Fix v0.0.1" a couple hours ago and it seems to negate the extra characters. It can play a sound when it corrects so that you know how bad things are. Although it's not a true fix, I'm happy with a workaround. You may want to just stick that bit of knowledge in your back pocket and hang on to it just in case. ;-)
let's get more folks on this train..
Tempted to get that champagne case to match my Samsung tablet.
@PeterK. Just noting the third case option is missing. My vote is Omaha orange case with NAVY blue keycaps. I'll take three. Also, Isn't every keyboard Mac compatible for 6 key rollover at least? And you should mention what the plate material is since you mention plate color when offered the choice of case color......
Thanks /Mr. Pedantic

So i live in Denmark right. Does that mean that i get the special letters "æ, ø, å" With it?
If you're getting chatter on one of these, before you try drastic methods like replacing switches or getting a new keyboard, try giving it a good cleaning first. DataVac out the inside of each switch (or use compressed air, though it will cost you more in the long run), then open up the board-- thankfully Keycool make it very easy to see the clips on the case that you have to open-- and give the PCB a thorough cleaning with OmniCleanz or a similar electronics-safe cleaning product before drying with your DataVac or compressed air.
If you have a genuinely bad switch, of course, this won't do anything, but the worst case scenario is that you end up with a more hygienic keyboard, which is a good thing anyway.
I had my keyboard for over a year not had any issues with. Its been my daily driver only wear is on my keycaps which every brand will wear after extended use
I bought one of these in a drop a year ago. Initally it was wonderful for the price, but after 8months a couple keys started registering multiple times on press (chattering). Now about half a dozen keys do that, and some of the modifiers dont register every time. As others have posted warranty is non-existant. I have seen a post where someone took his appart and saw horrendous soldering jobs. So i dont know my issues are with keycool quality or the kalith switches.
You have 2 options to fix the chatter: 1 seperate program http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Keyboard-Chattering-Fix.shtml 2. windows ease of access center http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/19328066?pi41097=4
A lot of people are comparing the switches but I think that shouldn't be the main focus. I had no problem using the red Kailh switches compared the Cherry. The biggest issue was the quality of the board itself. After months of use it began to show problems that other people were also experiencing. Randoms keys would begin to register multiple inputs with each press making it nearly unusable. After I found out there is no way I could replace the keyboard via Warranty I would definitely reconsider before buying this keyboard.
I just joined... I am new to mass drop. How long until it ships? I'm not sure how this works...
