Support for Alternative Layouts
This is a summary of how alternative layouts have been supported by kits such as Colevrak and Homing. It is not a discussion of alt layout performance and development, but if that interests you I highly recommend starting with Pascal Getreuer’s A guide to alt keyboard layouts (why, how, which one?). It’s a concise and comprehensive overview with links to some great sites that go deeper. He also has a separate Links about keyboards page. The Keyboard layouts doc he recommends explains layout goals and metrics in detail, summarizing the alt layouts discussed here as well as more than one hundred others. FN + 1 cycles through 5 LED profiles (2-6) To edit an LED profile press FN+2, FN+3, FN+4, FN+5, or FN+6 and the number will flash then you're able to press keys that you want to remain lit. To save the profile press FN + the corresponding number for the profile, to clear a profile all you need to do is edit it again. FN + ~ locks the keyboard FN + Left Arrow Key cycles through the LED patterns (Fully lit, key press ripple, marquee/snake from left to right top row to bottom, and illuminate key on press. FN + Right arrow key toggles breathing FN + Up/Down arrow key changes LED brightness
FN + F1 is My Computer FN + F2 is default browser FN + F3 is calculator FN + F4 is default media player FN + F5-F11 are media/volume keys FN + F12 is winlock (enable/disable toggle for win key)
Not entirely sure about these FN + INS turns on 6 key rollover FN + HM turns on 24 key rollover
No freaking clue FN + DEL FN + END FN + PD
I did try Google'ing for documentation, video or text, but my Google-Fu betrays me.
Any thoughts to if the board has programmable macros too? That would make sense for the FN + DEL, END and PD keys, delays for macros.
