wondering if the spigot is stainless steel or plastic... sometimes with these my kombucha will be acidic enough to eat through the painted coating if it's the plastic kind.

shlushI was reading reviews of this product on Amazon and they say the spigot is plastic. However you can apparently buy replacement spigots that are stainless steel.

G0merI don't think this style would be string enough to prevent CO2 from leaking out. Don't quote me on that though cause you never know.. on the web* I see these "fido" style jars referenced for 2f ... but I've had regular swing top bottles that leak and they're designed to have a super tight seal.
