bombmanxlPlease provide context of "worst sounding". I know it is somewhat subjective but a little more detail or context would be helpful.

bombmanxlGot mine today. So far they sound quite awesome. I'll try to compare with TFZ 5 and Dunu DN-1000 later today.

kyle_1102Hey, sorry, got too much stuff to do these weeks and never came back to this. As many said they're quite bright. A bit brighter than DN-1000 and WAY brighter than TFZ 5 (note: I have the regular ones, not the Exclusive series). Some tracks do not sound great with the amount of treble. I have some albums that are definitely not great on H3 while quite enjoyable on TFZ 5 and I'd probably give that to mastering because those are lower-end artists mostly. They don't sound great on DN-1000 either and I love those IEMs overall. Bass-wise, I love them. When purchasing H3 I was looking for DN-1000 with the bass of TFZ-5 because I liked Dunu's sound but it lacked the engagement TFZ provides. That said, I would not mind a bit less treble and a bit more midrange in the H3 but I see myself using these 3 pairs in rotation depending on mood and songs I plan to listen to. Have no idea if Exclusive 5 sounds better than old 5 though. Kinera is probably the most comfortable of the 3 followed by Dunu because of their smaller size.

MonkeyCoderThanks for the comparison, in your opinion do you think these are good IEMs for rap/hip hop genre especially since many say these have held back lower mids

kyle_1102Any particular artists/songs to check on? Given the only way I checked them out for now was google play on iPhone SE, I'd definitely prefer TFZ 5 for rap/hip hop. I'll give it a test later when I get a phone that can into EQ because it felt like my old Galaxy Note 2 made H3 sound better than my macbook/iphone. Unfortunately I'm all out of android phones now.

MonkeyCoderMaybe Ni**as in Paris by Kanye and Jay-Z. Slide by Calvin Harris ft. Frank Ocean and Migos. I have a S6 which has a decent DAC, but yh I have ordered the H3's so I'm so wondering if I should return them and buy other earphones better suited to this genre. Especially since the Massdrop x NuForce EDC IEM is currently available.

kyle_1102I'd say TFZ 5 sounds better overall on both while I prefer H3's clarity and bass. It's a bit too much of treble hiss and notably not enough mid on Kinera. It's not completely awful, just seems worse in comparison. Unfortunately I'm not getting a new phone for at least a week so that's as much as I can do right now. They probably can sound a bit better with some EQ but I don't have the time to figure it out on Apple devices while at work.

eisemanWell I guess it's subjective or the one I have is bad. However insides the looks and comfort, nothing eyes I like about these headphones. I have $25 earphones that sound better. All of my recordings are high quality. And trust me I burn these in for hundreds of hours. I was so disappointed in these, I ended up purchasing a pair of sennhieser IE800. No complaints there.

bombmanxlExtremely harsh and brickle. Lousy staging and imaging.
