I generally don't use wrist rests, but I want the lift kit... For peeps that use this lifted, what is your opinion on the wrist rests?

elFickThe stock ones are just hard plastic; I got their full holiday sale package, which came with the lift kit, additional padding, etc. The padding is worth whatever they charge for it. I can't imagine using just the hard plastic rests by themselves.

elFickI actually use the hard plastic wrist wrests without the padding. I used to have the padded rests, but since I use the keyboard 16 hours a day, the pads tended to get... gross over time and are not easy to clean. I have boney, slender hands without much natural padding and the plastic ones are fine. It took a little getting used to, but whatever. The lift kits are worth it.

elFickIf you use this lifted, the wrist pads are a must. I really like the ones Ergodox-EZ sells.

DroppedOnHeadThanks, that's the kind of opinion I was looking for. In the end I will probably just get both tenting sets, just in case.

elFickI night my Freestyle years ago and got both tenting sets. Within days I settled on the lift kit and haven't gone back. Having rests that match the keyboard angle makes a big difference for me. My recommendation is save money and start with just the lift kit.
