The work of a Lord is never finished. From training troops, to building structures, even to lobbying to members of the Council, it’s a life of influence and challenge. In Kingsburg, players take on the role of powerful Lords who have five years to develop their lands. The Kingsburg Board Game Bundle includes both the base game and the expansion To Forge A Realm, now available through Massdrop.
Gameplay
The game takes place over five years (20 rounds). Players spend initial turns preparing for an invasion from a large army, which requires influencing advisors in the King’s Council. Players must use strategies to spend their resources wisely. Choosing between a larger army as opposed to territory development may lose influence and victory points or advantages. The player who best allocates their resources at the end of the game is the winner.
