Hello Everyone,
Unfortunately we had to close this drop early. Kingston contacted me this morning letting us know that they did not have the inventory to support this drop. For the orders we have already received the vendor will honor these orders and fulfill them. We will try to get this frop active again in the future.
I don't really understand whats wrong here. If the deal isn't good enough for you or if you can find a better deal else where, just not join this drop.
I agree that computing our 'savings' using msrp is pretty sleazy. However, this day and age it's so easy to check and compare prices. This is like some furniture stores with big discount tags permanently on display, it's up to the customers to check, compare, and find the best deal for themselves.
That being said, I'm not joining this drop either. I can get this cheaper, faster elsewhere. XD
We are running into this problem where prices are already competitive for computer parts in the regular market, but people are still requesting them on Massdrop expecting magical discounts, then blaming Massdrop for not doing better.
Most of the people that react this way are fairly new to this site (yes, I am guilty of this a well). But Rath makes a very good point of saying that there is no need to put out a drop if massdrop isn't able to find a decent discount. Also, as fizile said before, waiting an extra month for a 13 dollar discount (on an already expensive product) is actually a worse deal if I may say so.
What I want to say, do not be surprised by people reacting this way. They are new and with time they will understand that there is no point in doing so. As well, I am becoming more patient and calm with the (bs) offers and ignoring them until something nice comes up. FOR THAT I respect massdrop, the other deals-which-aren't-really-deals, they can profit off of the people that don't know any better. Technically they aren't even ripping those people of if the price isn't much differet from the average lowest selling price found elsewhere.
In conclusion, nothing should change. Smart people buy when they know is right, the others buy whenever they see the discount is high (average customer) and massdrop can earn money to make the discounts even better for us. I believe we are only winners in this scenario. Just gotta pay attention to actual deals and let everything roll as it rolled before.
Hahaha what a joke drop. Most of these won't even be cheaper at all for internationals since the shipping costs to Europe are going to make up for anything you would have saved to begin with.
SurefireSamsung 950 pro. I installed it (make sure your system supports nvme to get the speeds, but I got 2500 mb/s read and 1525 write. It's amazingly fast and faster than this one.
It's like you're not even trying, Massdrop... I can buy this on Jet this very second for $275 shipped. I didn't even go digging for coupons, and they're advertising 15% off on national television.
@Teslenkon not sure if you understand the storage market much at all, but those prices are actually about what they are saying is MSRP. You're talking nearly 1TB SSDs, they aren't cheap when they are flagship models.
