Just wanted to jump in and explain what happened during this drop. Just like any other group buy we source products requested by the community. When the drop ended we sent the vendor the pertinent info to prepare the orders. They let us know that they would get the product in more than enough time to ship out the orders by the expected ship date.
Despite the checks and balances that are set in place; the large nature of this order combined with holiday demand complicated original forecasts.
The vendor’s system for dispatching orders is very basic, they need to manually input each order’s info. Once the orders are dispatched from the vendor they forward us an email manually, with each group member’s tracking info. From there we have to associate each tracking number to your transaction page so that you can receive said info.
We have been talking to the vendor throughout the day and they have assured us that all the orders have been dispatched. They are waiting on the system to relay the tracking info so that they can then forward us the corresponding email. As stated, from there our team will manually associate tracking so the group can check the status of their orders. This process is entirely dependent on them as we have been ready to upload tracking for the group as soon as we receive it.
We have been assured that tracking will be forwarded to us in the next 48 hours.
We understand the group's frustration with the increased fulfillment time and we have communicated this dissatisfaction to the vendor multiple times throughout the drop. This vendor opens up many products that the Massdrop community requests, but due to the experience that you all have gone through we have ended our relationship with them once the remaining orders have shipped. In addition, we have added other checks in order to make sure situations like these never occur again.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 12/18 or sooner if something comes up.
****** CORRECTION*****
We are going to stop going through distribution for Kingston products. Going forward we will be getting the products directly from Kingston, shipped to our warehouse.

elimelendezThanks for letting us know, glad it wasn't on Massdrops end, which would have been very nice to know before I started ragging on you guys. My apologies about that... Anyways, its still disappointing. I honestly don't know what to think about this, Kingston has probably shipped thousands of these over the past few weeks, I understand this is a large order and I have to wonder what in the world is going over there... All in all, not a good experience, but I'm glad that something is happening...

elimelendezFor once some truth comes out. While still unfortunate that the product will be unable to arrive in my possession before its needed, at least we finally get some answers.
Thank you for standing up for the community and voicing our dissatisfaction. While unfortunate that so many have already left the community because of this debacle, in the end you at least showed value and bit a bullet for us, good on you massdrop.
