I'm using 804 for last 2 month and have mixed feeling about them. They are definitely not for running. I'm doing trailrunning in fifefingers routinely, so not new to barefoot running, but I would not run more then 100m on ideal surface in 804. They are more or less ok in the gym, but only if you not doing stop/run/turn kind of training. Box jumps are fine. I've had planned to use them for boxing/kickboxing training, but they not working well for active footwork. Surprisingly, I do not have any issues with breathability or sweating, at least during shoulder season. Supper light an packable - that's for sure. My 2c.

dropyourmassHello, Thank you so much for your feedback, we are not sure why there is no review section, we will ask the Drop team regarding this matter. The Nomad is not intended for any running activity, beside using them at the gym we encourage folks to wear them around the house, walk the dog or at the office, this will allow the feet move naturally which will improve overall mobility, body alignment and reduce the risk of foot injuries. We will continue to evaluate and improve the product for future release, thank you again for your constructive feedback. Cheers, Kinis

How do these react to quick stops following movement? For example, if I land on my feet after a quick jump forward, will my feet slide forward within the Kinis, or is the fabric upper stiff enough to keep my feet properly positioned?

LycaonPhello, If you are doing a box jump for any jumping exercise/movement , ideally you should land on mid foot and use the arch to absorb excess shock from sending to your ankles and knees. Proper mid foot landing in the Kinis Nomad will not cause the feet to slide forward, the fabric is designed to have a natural fit to encourage natural feet biomechanics, it is not intended to prevent any sliding during movement. Our athletes have done thousands of box jump and complex movements without any issues. It is important to land naturally and moving natrually to prevent injury. Cheers, Kinis

I can tell by the picures that the soles don't let your foot breath. These are going to be a sweaty stink fest. Let's get a FYF drop instead!

These would help with squats and deadlifts. Price should be 30 at most. Ill just stick with my flat van shoes instead.
two things, please a color aside from black? Also, wow at that price. $55 socks.

Why don't you recommend running in them?

smallbitHello, Barefoot running required proper training to avoid foot injuries, since the product is designed without arch support or heavy cushioned outsole it is not ideal for running. The ultra thin rubber outsole will wear out much faster because it is not intended to use as running shoes. Cheers, Kinis

Is "Heat Repellent" the same as "Moisture wicking"? 😉 I'd be interested but in my experience none of the minimalist style footwear really fits well if you have EEEE wide feet. I know Kinis' return policy thanks to the FAQ, but what is Massdrops return policy on these?

bookworm13Hello, You are correct regarding Heat Repellent, for the wider feet we would recommend go one size up. This is our first partnership with Massdrop therefore we are not sure about the return policy. However we will accept all return as long as the product have not been used. You can wear the Nomad 804 with or without socks. Sizing & FitThe Nomad 804 Barefoot is designed to follow the natural contour of the feet in order to allow them to move naturally. It is perfectly normal for toes to overhang slightly over the rubber sole, we offer six sizes to accommodate for a wide range for foot size. If you are not sure about the size, please feel free to send us an email to hello@kinis.com we are more than happy to help.
