I think what most people are missing is that this adaptor is supposed to do more than just give you a snapshot of the current engine condition. They specifically mention things like mileage and trip information, which none of the cheapo solutions I've seen are really geared for. However, with that said, I have to really wonder what this adaptor does that is so magical that couldn't just be accomplished with a better app. Seems like they are trying to go after the same market segment as the Automatic devices, but the information given in the drop is vague.

TitaniumSporkFrom reading, I don't think they're saying theirs does and others don't. The cheap ones from Amazon pull the same data from the car. What you see does come down to the app you have. Pay more for a more comprehensive app and you get more.
