It's $220 everywhere else I've looked... Kizer is one of the few brands they are able to score a meaningful discount on. I'm pretty tempted, as my Vanguard Dukes sees a lot of pocket time. Great action.
barsijaMy knife addiction, er...COLLECTTION was begun last year thanks to the fact that Kizer had a sale with prices 40 to 60% the usual selling price, not 40-60% off the bogus MSRP that nobody actually pays; the prices were what MD gets, or pretty close. And it covered ever single Kizer piece except their flagship Isham collaboration. I bought one one day, then another the next day, then two the day after that, and ultimately went from no knives to a dozen knives in a week. Then I sold a couple for profit and got three more from the sale.
To this day, it's the only meaningful sale on knives I've ever seen. Every so often some maker has a sale, but its usually no more than 10 or 15%, and often only for knives nobody wants anyway. Benchmade will knock off about 25% at year's end on their so-called "discontinued models", which is Benchmade-speak meaning next year the model called the Banal Folder 123-A will be renamed the Banal Folder 123-B; the new model will have a 10% larger thumb-stud and and a slightly more beige colored handle. And it will cost $30 more than the A-model last year.
So Kizer will always have a place in my respect and loyalty for actually giving meaningful discounts when tossing out the word "sale", or when working with MD. And I love the Cuchiarra collabs best of all. I might have to hold up a convenience store to afford yet another knife this month, but I'm going to grab this one somehow.
