Just received my knife. Its gorgeous and very sharp. My initial comparison to the Schrade SCHF13 was pretty spot on. The blades are very close in size and shape (although the grind is different). The Kizer is overall about 7-7/8" long while the Schrade is about 8-1/2" long. That translates to a smaller handle on the Kizer, and they make up for it with the choil. I'm not a big fan of choils... I wish the handle was just longer. That said, its still comfortable in the hand and I'll gladly replace that Schrade with this Kizer. Maybe I'll throw the Schrade in my car kit.
Now lets talk about the sheath. It's nice that they included a quality kydex sheath with a belt clip. Although I think it would ride a little high if you used that clip. My biggest complaint - and maybe its just the sheath I received - but the retention is straight garbage. The knife drops free with a fairly moderate shake. And I'd like a more pronounced "thumb ramp". I was hoping I wouldn't have to make a replacement sheath, and I could probably improve the retention by just installing another eyelet near the top. But I'll probably end up making a replacement sheath. Not a big deal since I pretty much do that with all my knives (so many knives come with garbage nylon sheaths).
Overall, very happy with my purchase... outstanding quality for the price.
