Recently Kizer has been branching out. It’s now producing smaller versions of its most popular folding knives, scaled down for ease of carry with new materials. The Ray Laconico–designed Ki3468 Intrepid is a limited-edition mini version of its predecessor, this time with a 3-inch blade made from Bohler M390 stainless steel: a fine-grained, easy-to-sharpen alloy that’s extremely resistant to wear and corrosion. In it, Laconico’s simple, clean, and functional style that shows through. The clip-point blade is excellent for piercing and slicing, and its hollow grind helps you get a razor-sharp edge. Flip it open with little effort: Just press the flipper tab. Like before, it has a strong titanium frame lock and a pocket clip for right-handed tip-up carry.
