Wow, a very well made knife for the price. I received the knife today and it came with a really nice zipper pouch too! It was better than expected. It is on the larger size for EDC, but it should be good to go, it is lighter than it looks. Extemely well made, locks up very sturdy. Everything is sharp, it is tight, and centered. I purchased the black scales, grey liner version, no issues here. See pics.
Got mine in the mail yesterday- I have to say, this thing is a monster:) I mean, if the excellence it has as a knife ever did fail, not that it's likely, it can be used as a club! If only I had received the rainbow liner version that I ordered, instead of the blue one, it would have been a completely awesome buy. On the bright side, now I have an opportunity to review Massdrop customer support.
I own one of these with the rainbow anodized liners. Great knife for the price. Beautiful beefy blade with a really nice mirror finish. The millwork and rainbow anodization matches all the way down the handle. A little elegance to a beefy hard use blade. Excellent smooth action on this one. Gingrich was going for a folding survival/bushcraft fixed blade and that is exactly what this is
Dfunk1210 I really like the way the titanium liners look with the rainbow. I think this will become my EDC quickly as I love the idea of having a fixed blade but local law is more limiting on fixed blades but relaxed on folders.
Couldn't believe the price for S35 and over 8" then I saw it is a folder. It might as well be a fixed blade for better usage. Then I would seriously consider this. Big flippers can get ya in trouble in some cities/counties.
Yeah I have been fortune to only live in areas where knife laws are pretty relaxed.
It is important to always know your local laws when purchasing any item.
I do have a love for fixed blades;however, for EDC I tend to stick to folders because of those people looking to stir things up.
