I had this one and liked it quite a bit, but had to free up some funds and it fit a similar role to several other knives I wanted to keep.
This time around it's conflicting with the liner lock Dogtooth and the milled Buc, and I'm not sure it will win this contest either.

OmniseedWhy not? do you feel the liner lock dogtooth and the milled buc are that superior ? I mean, I dont know that much about knives, all I know is that, of my 5 folders, the kizer is the one I like the most (because of the action, so smooth and the titanium handle, but the m390 blade helps too)
Is liner lock better/more durable than frame lock? the buc is more expensive especially if you want it milled although I totally see the appeal.
in your opinion, what are the pros and cons of each one? if you dont mind me asking, I would really like to know, I still feel kinda noob when it comes to folders.

Cferrer1983In the case of the Dogtooth, it's because I adore Wharncliffe and sheepsfoot blades, and the framelock Dogtooth is nice enough that I think I would be happy to have one of the carbon fiber or rosewood versions too.
The Buc is one of my favorite new knives and I like the milled bronze ones a bunch, enough to consider getting one despite having blue and bronze original Bucs.
It's not really about durability or strength at all, I think leaf spring interrupt locks (liner and framelocks) are best suited for light to medium duty work even in the context of folding knives. The Buc is probably a hair sturdier than the Sealion but it doesn't matter to me.
It's more about the action of each and the blade profile. I have a bunch of perfectly good drop point S35VN flippers already, including a number of Kizers. I don't have many sub-2.5oz 3+" Wharncliffe flippers with a super thin grind and thin blade stock.
The Buc is pretty and if the blades can be swapped between it and the Dao then maybe I could get a plain Dao later and use the milled Buc as the handle. I also just like WE Knife construction best of the manufacturers I've tried. I agree with you on the good build quality of Kizer knives, I especially like how well they contour their titanium and the way they can make a hollow grind look good. Their stonewash is excellent and one of my favorite blade finishes. I like them enough to have the smooth and 3D milled M390 Shoal even.

OmniseedThanks for that reply, I'm considering options too and I have yet to eye wharncliffe and sheepsfoot blades.
Again, thank you for your input
