Just got it today.
It's hefty. The only other Kizer Vanguard I have is the Gemini and it's a much more lightweight affair than the Intrepid. That's not by any means a bad thing. The additional weight on the blade gives a better action with the bearings.
I immediately opened it up to give it a full cleaning and found that it was damn near spotless inside. They used some kind of lightweight oil between the liners and the G10 scales (which was quickly replaced with frog lube). The pivot was completely clean of any kind of grease or real lubrication as were the bearings and bearing tracks. After giving the whole thing a once over, and relubricating with 10 weight Nano-oil, the action is pristine. It's not quite a heavenly drop-shutty affair, but it's very very smooth.
Overall I'm impressed with the design. Uniform screw size set to T8 for the pivot and the handle screws (seriously Kizer, do this every time and you'll have a fan for life). Ergonomically it has virtually no hot spots. The G10 texture is very grippy. On of the less impressive aspects, the liners are rather thick and only skeletonized on the show-side. This doesn't do much for balance, but it seems like something they could have done to reduce weight. The interior of the liner could use a bit of chamfering (even if only on where your thumb interacts with the lockbar).
I will say I was slightly annoyed at the "Made In China" sticker on the blade. There is no reason to do that, hell put it on the box rather than right on the side of my brand new blade.
Additionally if people want I can start posting some disassembly pics.

Sam127Yeah, this was from the last drop. I live not too far from the MD distribution facility so I get my stuff 2 to 3 days from shipping.

MaxwellDemonicWell good to know there's a MD distribution facility. I'M only ~20 minutes from Baltimore. So when they do decide to finally ship, I won't be waiting to long.
