Can't find any information from the Kizer website but all of the online knife dealers are claiming this model is made in China. This is still a great price compared to said dealers but it should be noted that this knife is seemingly made in China not in Japan as claimed in this drop.

wirelessnessThe description says the blade steel is manufactured in Japan. So Kizer buys the blanks and turns them into knives in China. But they are one of the high end Chinese manufacturers, not the stereotypical "cheap made in China crap"
But, yeah....we all wish MD would start listing country of origin and pivot type as part of the specs on every drop

KavikThey are listing country of origin as Japan. That’s inaccurate. I do agree it’s a good deal though.

wirelessnessI don't see country of origin listed in the specs at all?
What I see is this in the description - "made from VG-10: a high-carbon-content stainless steel manufactured in Japan" Only talking about the steel in that sentence.
Still a good thing to point out, but i think you misinterpreted it, as opposed to them misrepresenting it

KavikMy concern...rightly or wrongly is that people might be confused and think that the knife was made in Japan. Your solution of including Country of Origin specifically in the specs would solve that problem. My goal for this one drop is to draw attention to the fact that this is a Chinese made knife so people are not confused.

wirelessnessOh I know, I'm with you man, 100% 😀👍
I just didn't want other people reading that and thinking it was an intentional misrepresentation / false advertisement type thing is all

wirelessnessSpeaking on the quality . I was quite skeptical before I bought my first Kizer knife but if I’m not mistaken they are all made or put together as they say in China with the materials usually above average coming from other countries. The workmanship on these knives are quite good and the prices aren’t over inflated. They are compafable to knives twice the price and sometimes 3 times the price in the quality of workmanship.
