debating whether i should just settle for this and opt out of the ferrum forge. anyone with a lot of pocket knife experience can provide insight on what more i'm gaining from the ferrum...?

dleblancAside from a "custom" knife, I'm not sure you're getting anything too spectacular. Like you, I opted out of the Ferrum forge in favor of this one. I'm sure down the line I will pick up one from FF but the wait was too long in the end for me. Patience has never been my strong suit.
