Versatile VG-10 Blade, Groovy G-10 Handle
Kim Ning has more than 20 years’ experience in the knife industry, so he knows the importance of a good folder at your side. The Kizer Vanguard V4423 is just that. It’s a full-sized reverse tanto with lots of belly for slicing and a strong tip for piercing. The blade measures 3.6 inches long and is made from high-carbon-content Japanese VG-10 steel for edge retention. The handle—available in understated black and eye-catching blue—is made from G-10 with stepped grooves that draw the eye. The heft of the blade, when paired with the flipper, makes for easy opening. Once open, the knife supports multiple grips. You can choke up and put your thumb on the swedge for extra control. A tip-up clip offers portability for righties and lefties.
