“Don’t leave home without it,” the Kizer Zugang’s motto, is carved in ancient text across the handle. And based on its aggressive and highly functional design, it certainly deserves a place in the daily rotation of knife enthusiasts and collectors alike. The modified wharncliffe blade looks like a cleaver from another world. Measuring nearly 4 inches long, it’s made from CPM-S35VN stainless steel, which is arguably the best commercial steel available in terms of all-around performance. It opens by way of the built-in flipper tab, deploying with a simple press. To secure the blade, the Zugang has a titanium frame lock. Matching the titanium frame is a titanium pocket clip for right-handed tip-up carry. For something more understated, go for the Ki4439A1 model.
Note: At checkout, choose between the Ki4439 and the Ki4439A1. Quantities are limited to 130 units of each model. Due to the sensitive nature of shipping knives internationally, we can only ship this knife to select countries. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and comply with all importation regulations and local laws. Click here for additional information.
Developed by Crucible Industries (one of the leading manufacturers of specialty steels for the cutlery industry) and Chris Reeve (arguably the most famous knifemaker in the world), S35VN is perhaps the most balanced blade steel ever created in terms of all-around performance. It’s made through a process of powdered metallurgy known as CPM, which results in near perfect consistency in the distribution of carbides. Compared to conventional melting practices, the CPM process produces a steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability, and toughness.
