I googled this model and first thing I saw was that this is a discontinued model. Why? What's wrong with it? Why not drop the latest and greatest as opposed to try get rid of excess stock here...
it-manMassdrop is a often a venue for older models (have a look at most of the TEAC drops and the current Maratac Ti Flashlight drop for Rev1; the latest light is actually Rev4).
It looks as though the RS16 might be the predecessor of the XT11S (which is designed specifically to be mounted on guns): http://www.klaruslight.com/index.php?m=content&c=index&a=show&catid=128&id=127
Here's the current R Series (RS) line: http://www.klaruslight.com/index.php?m=content&c=index&a=lists&catid=130
The only models I see that are like the RS16 are all marked "discontinued," so I don't think you'll find a latest and greatest version. The closest things might be the AR10 and the newest version of the RS20, both of which are still quite different from the flashlight being offered here.
it-manThis is just my 2 cents worth but I believe most manufacturers will discontinue a model when a new(er) model comes out. It may not necessarily have anything wrong with it. If was around $100, to me that would be a deal killer. The market appears to be flooded with flashlights right now. China is a major player in this market as well. Prices vary from one extreme to the other.
