In 2002, before stainless-steel water bottles were used for personal hydration, Klean Kanteen founder Robert Seals began working on his first prototype with items purchased at a local hardware store. Two years later, he released the first BPA-free metal hydration bottle. Today, Klean Kanteen remains a small, family-owned and -operated company based in northern California, with an enduring commitment to health and sustainability.
