Hello! Am looking to get one of these for myself, If there's anyone willing to part with theirs, I'm willing to pay a reasonable premium. Please message me privately. Thanks!
Any Chance to drop the wooden one? Or it's only a nice pics?

We just need 1 more person for another drop!
Vegeta
one more river to cross. if they only knew.
Somehow I completely missed this drop last time and I regret it. These things look sweet! I feel silly for buying other nice wooden headphone stands now, because these take the cake. I will join if there's a new drop and there's any way at all for me to swing the finances. Massdrop is terrible for my wallet.
people of earth, request this thing. i need to buy 2 more
mad_bird
LOL I need to buy the leather version
Vegeta
i got the tan leather and it's very nice. couldn't find any defects.
There has been a great deal of discussion on this board as to whether this stand is worth the money. Anyone who raises this question has never seen the stand. Simply put, it is a work of art. I actually get people coming into my home and commenting on how great it is (not something that is usually noticed). If these are B stock, I can't even imagine what the A stock is like. The stand looks best with larger headphones. My HD-700s look spectacular. The company also has the best service I have ever seen. I had a minor issue (not their fault) and asked for service. To say they bent over backward to help does not even begin to describe how great they were. I have never seen a company to proud of their product and so concerned about their customers. If you get a chance to buy these, jump. They make me happy every time I see them. That makes them a bargain (and not I don't work for the company).
I got mine. If it is a B stock I can not see a flaw anywhere. The rubber pad on the bottom is off center. Like that matters. Great deal,! Do it again I will buy a second one
anyone received the stand yet? My tracking number's not updating.

i just got mine today, feb 4. - well packed and i really like the thing. this was my first time buying anything from massdrop - i must say i will get back in line for this ride.

Ok, mine's expected to be delivered on Feb 5, thanks!
Exciting news, group! We’re happy to report that all of the orders have been shipped out and are now on the way to you! Please allow 24-48 hours for tracking to get into the shipper's system and start updating.
If there’s anything else we can do to make your Massdrop experience better, feel free to contact us via “Contact Support” button in your transaction page: https://www.massdrop.com/transactions
We have some great news to share with everyone. Our vendor has informed us that the bulk shipment was picked up on Wednesday, and it is currently en route to our warehouse! Transit time typically takes about a week, so we are expecting to receive the order by the middle of next week. Once received, our warehouse team will work hard to turn around your individual orders as quickly as possible.
Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 1/29 or sooner if something comes up.
how low hello
Thanks again for joining this drop! With your help we were able to make it successful for the community. We've just submitted the group's order with the vendor for the KLUTZ DESIGN CanCans and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where we'll break it up into individual orders and ship them directly to you! The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 2/2.
Rest assured that we will provide you all with updated information regarding the status of your order throughout the process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 1/21.

Do these stands stretch the headband out? They look like they would.
I see how removing the sticker would help it look clean, but if you spent so much on a product, don't you usually want to show off the brand? I mean, who buys a sweet expensive car and rips out the hood ornament? I'm trying hard not to come off as a hater, but I think as part of a community of people who are looking for deals on enthusiast products, I should mention that I just found a very similar stand on etsy for $40 + shipping which was $50 for me :( Granted, I don't know how it compares in quality since it could be a different kind of wood (mahogany), or varnished differently, and the base is slightly smaller and is wooden as opposed to metallic, and it probably only comes in one color with no leather options, but the design is damn near identical.
I can't justify the cost of this headphone stand. It's a piece of wood shaped in a tear drop and a metal/alloy base. I make this in my garage in a few days with more exotic wood.

So start selling them and post a link here when you're done. Thanks.

Simple. Same way you justified a $500 Grace Design DAC/Amp, $200+ DarkVoice amp (in your profile pic) and however much Firestone stands ran for ($50?). To each their own.
Has anyone from the past drops seen these. If so, are the defects really small enough that they can only be seen on close inspection--or is this wishful thinking on the part of the seller?
Does anyone know the dimensions of these stands? Specifically, I'm looking for the width of the headband support area, i.e. what's the widest headband (front to back dimension) that will fit on one of these?
If it gets to $179.99 this is a good drop. Klutz sells the B stock on their website for more a decent chunk more than that.
I'm a dbag and I'll prove it. As much as I wanted the Sieveking. I couldn't justify the price for bent wood. And I love German engineering. This thing here screams style.
But I still can't justify it when for over 4 years I've been throwing my V-Moda headphones of which I own 3 pairs on to my granite desk, bed, wood floor, and even the kitchen and bathroom counter. So I guess owning headphones made of metal and good plastic outweighs a wood stand regardless of design. That's just my opinion.
If my headphones cost $500 and up, this and the Sieveking could be justified unless you just want to show off and put some $50 cans on this.
How did I do?

They did that so you could remove it and not have any branding on it.
Totally with you on this one man. A headphone stand that's over $35 is an overkill. My DT880's and HD600's rest on a 'stand' that I got for free when my niece and I were browsing a local thrift store. She wanted a couple dolls and the cashier forgot to take out the metal backing that supported them on display.
I guess it's more for obnoxious reasons than for practical ones to 'spend' on a headphone stand.
Another asshole supporting your thoughts.
Let's get 8 more people on this deal and get a nice little discount on this stand.
I feel for the MD staff. I wouldn't want to have to moderate these comments.
If you have no interest in the product, move on without adding to the unhelpful, sarcastic commentary that adds nothing of value towards the discussion. Spend your time elsewhere on "better things" that you're interested in. Bashing a product and those who express interest towards purchasing said product does nothing other than help create a toxic atmosphere. If you believe that there's no need for a headphone stand [in your real world scenario] in general, let alone one priced at this premium, just keep to yourself. I don't say this to silence anyone, but please think before you post. It's getting ridiculous.
I understand that there's a mix of consumers that make up the massdrop community user base. Be considerate is all I'm asking. Cheers.

I guess. I know people can be better and do better; that's why. I'm quite empathetic and sympathetic. I try to be as open as I possibly can.
I have no problems with being critical and expressing concerns about the product. Whether that's price, the condition (B-stock) or other function/features of it such as the sticker. Constructive criticism and feedback is useful for the discussion.
How users approach these topics can more or less polarize their input. Whether it comes across as snide, smug, sarcastic, earnest, etc. will effect how I, as well as others, perceive what was said. An otherwise helpful comment can be ruined imo. Maybe they're having a bad day. Maybe that's just who they are and how they represent themselves.
Ultimately it's up to the individual to decide who they surround themselves with. I don't want to be around or part of a toxic community after playing way too many hours of DotA and the like. It brings out the worst in me and ruins my day. Thus I expressed my concerns, albeit not about the product itself. If no-one sees value in my comment, fine. At least I voiced my concern(s).
Cheers.

Makes sense. Many valid points. However, IMHO there is a time and place for everything and when it comes time to online forums...if you are not careful gazing into the abyss, the abyss gazes into you. But as always, to each their own, my friend :)
Why are people complaining about the cost? Don't you see that this amazing piece of woodcraft was crafted by blind nuns in the foothills of Mount Tibidado in Barcelona, sanded down with Jesus' chest hair, and coated with varnish filtered through crushed diamond sand. I say is totally worth it...
this price for "b" stock. im dying. lmfao
Yeah... no. I fail to see how this item warrants the price.
rofl I'd rather cut and shape my own wood and cure and coat it than pay this outrageous premium! and i will!
Nothing says top-of-the-line product more than chintzy clear plastic company logo sticker....
...I am ambivalent towards expensive-for-the-sake-of-whatever items, but for $265+ could the company not be bothered to plaque, etch or engrave their logo? * scratches head * or is this their "entry level" model?

I much prefer the cases that came with the vast majority of my headphones. If I had more money than sense and cared to build a "Headphone Gallery" items like this might be of interest. As it stands I think the $50.00 stands are a waste.... If I had the urge I'm sure a few of my carpenters buddies could crack this thing out in an afternoon. Give me more "audiophile" community products that actually have something to do with reproducing music!

Cases are not convenient at all.
