REVIEW UPDATED: (Apologies for the late follow up; been very sick) So my initial report was wrong. The pad is usable using just your breath (2 breaths). Comfortable for back sleeping. On my side I was slightly compressing the pad to the ground and preferred using the hand pump to add structure. I am 190cm (6'3") tall and weigh 70kg (154 pounds) (ie. long and skinny/boney). Good news is that the hand pump only weighs 25 grams (0.9 oz). My pad on the scales weighs 160 grams (5.6 oz) so pad and pump total is 185 grams (6.5 oz)
I just laid down on the pad for a few minutes on aggregate concrete with a pillow. Tried back and side positions. It does cushion your upper body from the ground, good on the hips where it's usually felt most. When side sleeping my shoulder blade is aligned right where the cut out is, you can strategically place it on one of those thin beams and that adds some support. I would recommend Klymit omit the shoulder area cut outs for future models.
Being a boney bugger, and taking into consideration my side sleeping style; I don't see myself personally using this pad again. Unless I was trying to fast pack and knew I could make a bed of leaves/pine needles under my shelter, or knew I was always going to be on luscious grass. Two others in the discussion say they sleep comfortably so everyone is different. At this price I would buy one out of curiosity and sell it/keep it as a back up if not happy.
I compared this side by side on the concrete to my full size pad, the Sea to Summit Comfort Light Large (585grams/21oz). That pad inspired sleep immediately, more so than my bed at home. And after a full day of exercise that's what I want. (I know it's not ultra light, but sleep is integral to being able to continue the next day). Comparatively on the Klymit Inertia X-lite I felt like 'If I concentrate on my body alignment over this pad, don't move too much, and if I'm lucky, I might get some reasonable sleep tonight'.
