clewI love my normal V2, and not either of the Expeds we have. They are definitely warm, but the V2 is rocking comfortable for me.
Not to say that Clew is wrong, but pointing out that opinions vary.

slackingNah, pretty much anyone that frequents the outdoors knows Expedds are legit, and widely regarded as the bar others are judged by. Sleep systems are not the place to skimp on gear, and are arguably the most important piece of your system. Check out BPL or somewhere and you will see many complaints about Klymits's pads and nothing but praise for Exped's. This thing has a lower R-Value, higher weight, is thinner, and in my testing (everyone is different) much less comfortable than a UL 7.

clew@clew Not sure where you get your data, but compared to the Exped Synmat UL 7, this Klymit pad is 33% warmer and only 23% heavier, making it suitable for sleeping on snow. Further, the UL 7 is 60% more expensive (based on MSRP). The UL7 is a whopping 0.3" thicker.

clewNo need to get nasty. Everybody sleeps different. The pad/ bag / quilt/ tent/ tarp/hammock system that works wonders for Bob may well suck for Bill, and vice versa. When you find what works for you, that's what you go with. Well known big name or off brand or new product. Yes, Exped is well known with good . But quite expensive. Gear is highly subjective.
