So will this actually ship out this time? It be nice to know instead of getting a message 2-3 weeks after expected shipping date about not being able to fulfill the order.
According to the specifications the regular 0 f version has a fill weight of 900 g. Is that true? The model sold from Klymits own shop has 1200 g.
Does anyone know how this bag compares to the Big Agnes: Boot Jack, 25 degree down? They have similar MSRPs and very close specs. This is my first Massdrop purchase.
good price for bag, but shipping for EU too costly. Shipping & Handling$54.50

Indeed. Pretty much a robbery for a stuffed bag which is light and small.
I have the one from costco and love it. One thing that is very different between this bag and other bags is that the stitching is stretchy/elastic so the bag will be small around you but you can still move your legs. I found it to be very warm and comfortable. It compresses pretty good too.
I received my bag yesterday, I'm very please and think it will be a very comfortable sleep as someone who moves a lot. I was a little mislead by the photos, It appeared to come in a compression sack but only arrived in a draw string sack. Also, I did not receive the mesh storage sack listed in the "Included" section in description,
I'm 6' 5" tall. Will my height be an issue for this bag? The description says that it can shorten 15" to accommodate a 5' 3" person, and 5' 3" + 15" == 6' 6", so is it reasonable to assume I'll be fine?
Zenon
You'll be fine. I'm 6' 6.5" and 245lbs and I have plenty of room. See my comment from 50w ago for a picture of me all zipped up in it. In that pic I was about 265-270lbs and comfortable. Cheers mate.
becalmerill
Hello Bacalmerill, your 6' 6.5" and 245lbs and the picture you have posted is you with the regular size correct ?
I would like to know what is the measures of the 20d and 0d while it compression. In addition an image might help. Thanks!!
Just got both bags in today!
Overall, I'm very happy with the quality. Great features and the stretch baffles make it really comfy, especially for side sleepers! Not really a complaint but I was surprised at just how WIDE the "Oversized" bag is! I'm 6ft 220lbs and fit great in the standard bag. If I could swap out the oversized bag for a standard I would!
Also, was surprised to find that Costco is now selling these at $119 also! Wish Massdrop could have offered a lower price but oh well!

44 oz...wow, must have rocks inside.

This is definitely not a 900FP $600 bag. But it's a pretty good bag for the price.
Has anyone directly compared this to the Kelty Cosmic 20? Seems like they're both around the same price +/- a few bucks and the Kelty sets a solid standard for a lot of bag at the price point.

My friend bought the Kelty Cosmic 20, we went camping recently and tried swapping bags, overall very similar. I prefer the stretch baffles on the Klymit because I move around a lot in my sleep, there's a flap with a drawcord that tightens around the top of the torso/neck line to keep the heat in even while moving around.
The Kelty felt just as warm and didn't seem to shed as much down, though it did feel more restricting to me but that's because I move around a lot. My friend kinda prefers the Kelty because he feels like the stretch of the Klymit lets out too much heat but I don't think he knew how to use the drawcord flap to seal it. I will mention that he's had to send his in to get fixed as the zipper got stuck and broke, it took them almost a month for them to fix it and send it back.

I own a kelty 20 and a klymit 20. I believe klymit is a tad heavier, but it is humerous how much more lofty and stuffed it is. I consider the Kelty more of a 30 + degree bag while I take the klymit my cold weather bag. The baffles are awesome and it keeps its loft. INO, a much better bag than the Kelty. MUCH better.

I picked up one of these from costco for $140 about a month ago so this is a pretty decent deal, though having the costco return policy is quite nice. (Not like it matters much with lifetime warranty though)
This bag is comfy enough, the stretch baffles are a boon for people who move around a lot in their sleep, and the down helps it compact down pretty small.
Took it camping recently up to local mountains in the Angeles Crest, and ended up getting my tent snowed on for a night, this bag stayed decently warm and would have been a lot more comfortable had I actually been prepared for snow. The foot box can get chilly (for reference I was wearing darn tough socks). It held up well against the moisture, didn't feel anything inside the bag even though parts of the outside got pretty damp.
If you're planning to camp in snow (or at least around the 20-30F range) I would highly recommend getting a liner and make sure to bring a warm base layer, which is kinda standard gear to bring anyways, but a reminder is always helpful.
I was a bit hesitant due to the down not being water-resistant but when I read the reviews and that Backpacking Magazine named it one of 2016s best gear I had to try it. Great price, looking forward to trying it out.
Mine came quick from the last drop and appears to be of top quality! It is very comfortable and seems to be warm and lightweight. I'll be testing it soon on a winter backpacking trip! Thanks Massdrop! (Edit May 2017: I have now used this bag for 4 nights below freezing, and 1 in the 40s, worked great! Very comfy! Packs nice and small too.)
does this thing has an EN rating? can't find it anywhere

thats not EN...

According to REI's site it's 34/20, the Klymit site did not mention this rating as far as I could tell...

I'm really interested in this bag but I have a couple of questions if anyone out there has any input: 1) My biggest pet peeve with sleeping bags is the zipper snagging or coming open (either by sliding down from the zipped up position or by pressing against it in the night and having the zipper pop open), has anyone had any problems like that? 2) Has anyone used this with a liner and been in in temps much below the 20 degree rating? Wondering if it's possible to use this year round except for the dead of winter.
How small can this compress down to?
Specs are incorrect in the listing... the packed (stuffed) size should be 13" x 8.5", not 13" x 18.5". That would be YUGE...

Fixed again, again. Looks like this drop was loaded from the previous (incorrect) specs for the pack size. Thanks everyone.

Just received my drop today. Thanks for the quick shipping!
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows how small these sleeping bags compress down to. Do they actually come with compression bags? I just took them out of the box, and have yet to bring them home from my office, but hoping they can be packed smaller than how they shipped.
TackleTom
Tom You have probably already figured out how to deal with the compression issue.
When we got one of these bags for my son, who is 12, the bag supplied was way too small for him to get the sleeping bag back into the stuff sack. We went to REI and tried different compression bags. He ended up being comfortable with the eVent 20L that compressed to 6.7L. I probably could have been quite happy with the next size smaller for the compression stuff sack if I was using the sleeping bag, but needed him to be able to stuff the bag without me around. He has the regular size sleeping bag.
