BennyMNot really, not without some effort. The air pad is part of the frame and there is an air line(small tube) attached to the pad. That tube runs thru the bottom of the pack into the right belt pocket where it ends attached to a squeeze ball that inflates the pad. Their is an attached push button that deflates the pad. You can detach it but it's probably easier to bring a thermarest sit pad that only weighs a few onces.
