Don't bother. Disappointing
I used this once. It was so rubbish that i gave up and filled my Klymit mattress with lung power knowing full well that i was introducing moisture into my mattress. For your information i have an Exped mattress and pumpsack that i rate...

Exactly as described and works great. One small puff of air toward the bag and roll it up. What could be simpler at the end of the day on bicycle tour? It not only makes inflating the mattress super-easy, but keeps your moist breath out of the bag so no mould! Win - win! :)

Agree with many of the reviews on the use of this as a stuff sack, maybe tube socks; it is 57 inches long (4 feet 9 inches)! The width is 9 inches. Also, as mentioned, asking you to blow air into the sack defeats the purpose of the pump, whether using Bernoulli, his principle, or the Bernoulli principle. Two stars for the material and the valve construction. Making the pump shorter and wider would benefit users greatly. Adding a roll top closure would be great

Pretty much the bag is crap, the only good thing about it is the connection to you air mat. It works. The design of the bag (long and thin) makes it difficult to use effectively.

There is not much good to say about this product except that the one-way valve works ok if you are careful not to let it detach from your pad. It is very difficult to fill with air because it is too narrow and far too long. They suggest blowing into it but that would defeat the purpose of keeping moisture out of your pad. It helped to cut the length by about half, which allows me to reach to the bottom and use my hand to open the tube and get air inside, but that means several repetitions to inflate the pad - and an increased risk that the valve will detach, which happens occasionally even under ideal conditions and frequently when I am tired and it is cold, which are the normal conditions under which I use this product. My plan is to cut the valve out and sew it into the bottom of a 10 litre or slightly larger coated nylon stuff sack. That is how this product should have been designed in the first place!

So far this pump sac has served me well. Fills my large Insulated Static V quickly, with a lot less effort and helps keep my sleeping pad mould free. I use it to store my sleep clothes, bag liner and down bag in my pack so it serves a dual purpose. I have used it about 15 times now and its been in my pack for about 200kms of hiking. So far this pump sac shows little or no signs of wear and tear.
Some may try to use the wind to catch air in the sac, but I find this to be difficult when its attached to your pad. I just blow into the sac from about 6 inches away from the opening, which causes a pressure change and essentially sucks in additional air, this is based on the Bernoulli principle, same idea as Windcatcher and Thermarest Speed Valve sleeping pad inflation methods. So far this has worked for me just fine.
I have not used any other pump sacs but this has been so easy to use and is such an improvement over filling your pad by giving it nozzle to mouth that and I can't really see anything wrong with it. Quick, reliable, easy to use, multipurpose and cheap. You rarely get all of those characteristics in one product.

A bit hard to use at the tent, but the connection is secure enough and it does its job
