to those who currently own these, are the cables durable (not forever, but would it endure at least a year?) I've bought half a dozen Portapros and KSC75s and the main issue I had with them are the cables. Not one of those KPP/KSC75 have the original cable.

BigBoyLokiYou're comparing a $250 Koss to $40/$20 models. I don't think you have anything to worry about

SlowCousinPeteThe cable on this is worse than that of the $30 PortaPro, so BigBoyLoki's question is quite valid. Price does not indicate quality.

BigBoyLokiThe cable on this is worse than that on the PortaPro. So if you did not like the PortaPro cable, stay away.

BigBoyLokiNo, unfortunately not. I've taken them apart as much as I dare, and it appears to do a proper recable you will have to pry the driver housing apart. I'd like to know how they're connected now before attempting. Yes the cable is the worst I own, but it's not a good reason to not buy them. They are the best open earphones I have ever heard, and my favorite open or closed, even with the stock cable. It's nothing that will fail on you sooner than any other, it's just not confidence inspiring.
The cable is clearly the lone weak point in an otherwise phenomenal product. If I can't bash the cable enough then I can't praise everything else enough either
