Is this stove just that new? I can't really find any in-depth reviews on it...

l3db3tt3r@l3db3tt3r!!!! Long time, no see - How are you? To answer your question, the stove is fairly new and as far as I know, we're the first ones in the US to have access to it.

DannyMilks@DannyMilks, Things are well. - I'm so tempted for this, but I think I'm going to hold out. I have had my eye on the Primus OmniLite Ti. It has more fuel options (although I doubt I'll use anything other then whitegas, and Iso-pro), and a similar weight. The thing I think (my hypothesis) is the OmniLite Ti will do better at simmering, as it has a secondary spindle throttle at the stove end, as well as the bottle end. I'll probably dislike having to change out the jets, but I think I'll like having more cooking options with better simmer control... I was never really concerned with noise, which seems to be one of the pluses for this stove.

l3db3tt3r@l3db3tt3rTrue enough, you can't really go wrong with a Primus. If you can get it wit the silencer (in Canada it is sold for 250CAD, around 190USD), it does help distributing the heat more evenly and thus does help for simmering too. But depending on the fuel you will need to change the nipple. Demonstrating the silencer :
