Can someone that owns both this adapter and a Soto Windmaster give a definitive answer as to whether or not they're compatible? I'm not as concerned about pin length. I realize I can cheat that. I'm more concerned about whether or not the Windmaster will even screw onto this adapter. The reason I ask is because I have a knockoff adapter. So far I've only tried it with MSR MicroRocket, Pocket Rocket 2, Snow Peak LiteMax, an old Snow Peak GigaPower, Primus ETA remote canister burner, Soto Windmaster and Soto MicroRocket. The knockoff works fine with all except the Soto stoves, which won't even screw on. Their relative dimensions look similar enough to cause me to doubt this Kovea would do any better. In this image, the knockoff is on the left, the Kovea on the right. My Sotos will not screw onto the adapter on the left. Am I wrong in doubting I would have different results with the adapter on the right (the Kovea)?

BTW, I'm not saying I won't use the adapter. It will come in handy to save fuel, during post-hurricane power outages etc. Still, it would be nice to have one that also worked with my favorite burner. :_)

chuggerI'm pretty sure Hiking Jim has mentioned not using these adapters with regulated stoves as the pressure in a propane canister is much higher than a isobutane canister, and you might damage the regulator.

JimboJonesYeah, I think I read that too but had forgot. I guess it's just as well it doesn't fit then. :)
