Wow it came with butane adopter! The adopter looks plasticy, I wonder anyone used that adopter with their isobutyl canister stove with butane fuel can?

Received mine today. At first I was terrified and thrilled seeing the four foot long box mass drop shipped in. Luckily it's not built quite to that scale. I fired it up with a half empty fuel canister and it's impressive. The flame isn't quite as jet-like as my inner-pyromaniac had hoped (he's the guy who made this impulse purchase), but it is large, blue, and hot as hell. I look forward to finding a practical application, hopefully before I have to buy new fuel canisters. https://youtu.be/kaq2_6Cyu7U

Here we go, finally got a video uploaded: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsD8KMtbG3I&feature=youtu.be
How heavy is this? Debating if it's worth it for those zero days with crack cocaine, you know how dull a thru-hike can get

Couple of New Zealanders on YouTube use this thing to singe the hair and first layer of epidermis from a hog they hunted In prep for a roast. It's interesting but graphic.

I modded my torch to take a coleman propane tank using a LPG adapter. This produces a more stable and powerful flame. I found that camping gas canisters don't last very long and can be very sensitive to tilting that was making downwards operation a bit tricky.

metajamesThat's next level, dude. Post a video of that thing firing something up!
Hey everyone - I used this torch a lot over the weekend on a group camping trip where we cooked all our meals over open fires. I have to say that it seemed a little silly/unnecessary, but it saved us a LOT of time starting all the cooking and camp fires without the usual routine of gathering paper/cardboard/tinder - you still have to build a good fire, but starting it is a LOT faster this way. Here are shots at 0, 10, 20, and 30 seconds (will try for a video, don't have it on YouTube/Vimeo yet):

MrWheelNDealHear that thing rattling inside the handle? That's the adapter. Instead of clicking down the igniter button, lift it up.

I received my torch yesterday and I'm very pleased with my impulse purchase. This thing is a beast, the sound it makes at full blast is awesome! No BBQ is safe this summer.
