A Classic Flieger With Subtle Updates
The Flieger watch debuted in 1941 as a small batch of just 1,200 watches issued to the German Luftwaffe. Little did anyone know how iconic that design would become. Why so iconic, you ask? In a word, legibility. The Laco 1925 Zurich has all the features you’d want in a classic Flieger: large Arabic numerals, thick sword hands, a signature triangular marker at 12, and a black dial to make everything pop. However, it also adds a day window and date window that tuck in nicely without crowding the dial. The case on this 42-millimeter beauty is built from stainless steel and water resistant to 50 meters.
