I have both the Rose Gold and the Gold bought from brick and mortar shops. The nibs write the same as the new generation of Lamy Safaris.
If you are a longtime Lamy user/collector with older Lamy Safaris (pens that are stamped W. Germany or sold shortly after the wall fell), the nibs are not quite interchangeable with these new ones. Perhaps it is after years of use, but I find that my older pens write just that much smoother
