Is the pencil worth getting? I currently use a Papermate Clearpoint 0.5mm pencil (picture attached

) for all of my math and physics work, just because of the fine graphite size and the amazing eraser. Will those erasers fit in this pencil if I chop them into smaller segments?
I would be mainly buying this for the pen, and if the pencil is good then I will use it so I have a matching pen and pencil, but if not I will just wait until another drop comes along for just the pen or some other site has a discount deal going on. Let me know what you guys think!

CyleleghornThe lamy pencil is very high quality and sturdy, but as a student, its eraser is seriously lacking. The is no creaking like the papermate, but be warned that the rubber grips and eraser on the papermate are practically superior. Plus, losing the pencil cap can be a tragedy.

linux3214Thanks for the reply.. In the one video review I could find it seemed like cap was pretty tight on the pencil, so it shouldn't randomly fall off, and when I do work I am always stationary so hopefully losing the cap won't be a problem. I will try to cut the spare erasers I have for the papermate to fit this pencil, but if that fails I can always get one of those really nice high-polymer block erasers. And as for the grip, I know that the body of the Lamy is all plastic, but I was hoping that the bigger body/grip would help me. I'm a computer guy, so I hate writing, but now that I'm in college I seem to be doing ALOT of it, and the papermate pencil is tiny in my hands. After about 30 minutes of writing my hand is cramping. People tell my to not grip the pencil as hard, or to not press as hard, but if I don't grip as hard my hand slides down the pencil! I think maybe this pencil's bigger grip would keep my fingers from having to contort around as far just to hold onto it.
And other than all that, the main reason I think I'm going to get both is because I'm about to replace someone's Macbook Pro screen, so I'll have an extra $50 lol. I won't feel bad about spending a little extra for the pencil.
Thanks again
