"300 lumens of bright white light"
How white is this light---what's the color temperature? White light is sterile, ugly, harsh, and out of place while camping. You want a warmer hue for camping (or any nighttime illumination outside of a hospital), like a campfire, incandescent bulb, or the Snow Peak Hozuki LED lanterns. The Cairn website doesn't have any more info except describing the light as "warm", which is the opposite of "bright white light".
A lot of outdoor companies insist on ugly and harsh 5000k white LEDs. Looks like a lot of design went into this product and I'm curious if they considered light temp.

drewbergHello drewberg, I work with Lander representing the brand in the SW.. I asked Lander directly so I could have an accurate answer. This was the response from the team who designed the lanterns; “This was actually a pretty big deal for us.  The majority of headlamps and lanterns these days are ~6,000 K and that is a very stark, white color temperature.  We wanted a warm light, like that of a candle or campfire.  This being the case, all of the Cairn lanterns are ~3,000 K light temperature.“
