Hi Everyone,
Thanks for all the comments and interest in our knives. We wanted to take a minute and just reach out and let everyone know that while there have been some issues in the past with production, in 2012 and earlier. Those issues have been solved and Landi Knives has grown from a garage based hobby style business to a thriving manufacturer of handmade knives. To set a few things straight, like many new businesses growth can be a hard thing to overcome - and the popularity of our knives came as a complete surprise during the infancy of the company. Orders where coming in faster than John could make the knives and with that came some delays. Each knife was, and continues to be handmade - that is why we no longer take payments on knives until they have shipped. And we have a quarter by quarter production schedule that guarantees that every knife we sell is available before it is listed with any partner.
Quality is the lifeblood of our business and no knife will leave our factory without being taken through our 3 tier QA process, that final QA step is a personal hand inspection by John. Because of our strong belief in the quality of our knives we put a lifetime warranty on EVERY knife, if the knife breaks we will either fix it or replace it - we will always stand behind our work.
To further put things into perspective, we moved from John's personal garage to a large facility in the Pittsburgh area.
The knives that are part of this drop are being handmade right this minute and will be completed over the weekend. You can expect WIP pictures over the next few days so each of you can see the knives for yourselves. For now you can enjoy the few that were taken in the past few days!
