I never gave Lanier fountain pens a second look, but these look very appealing (at least in the photos). I wonder about the nibs though; if they are German, who makes them? Any fountain pen collector would have seen the notorious "Iridium Point Germany" label far too many times not to be suspicious.

TherocI agree; however, I feel that Massdrop has the responsibility to be getting the answers to these questions for us from the manufacturer. If the manufacturer cannot give a spot-on answer to such a simple question about their own product, then the item shouldn't be on Massdrop in the first place. I shop here under the impression that the product quality has already been established by Massdrop, leaving me free to browse quickly without worrying about things like that. hope that I'm not wrong for thinking like this but I suppose we shall see. This company is young enough that it can literally go either way at this point but where it ends up will be how the company is perceived for a looooong time to come - IMNO of course.

TherocAccording to Lanier, they are made by JoWo (whom I just found out makes the Goulet nibs)

yori07Yes, I'd seen your earlier post. JoWo is a respected brand, it would have only helped this drop if it had been mentioned in the description.
