v3tekThe hole diameter on the stand is 19mm (3/4"). I don't own the 149, but I googled it's dimensions, and if correct, the diameter of the 149 is 14.8mm, so it will fit just fine.

v3tekHave you considered trying to smooth it out yourself? I had a Pelikan with a similar issue but was able to solve pretty easily.

RayFTo be honest, I blame it on my heavy hand more than the pen. I received it as a gift and have only used inexpensive fountain pens in the past with medium nib so, I wouldn't have the foggiest idea how to smooth it out.
