Made in the United States, the Spaulding by Lanona features a classic boat-shoe construction, with its moc toe, leather upper, and side laces. The upper is made from your choice of suede or Chromexcel, both of which are sourced from Chicago’s Horween Leather Company. Ideal for boat shoes, Chromexcel is treated with a blend of natural oils and waxes that give it added resistance to water. Finally, the non-slip Harrier wedge outsole is extremely lightweight, and gives added cushion compared to standard dock shoes. Suffice it to say the Spaulding is a true fusion of form and function.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of material and color: Cognac Cavalier Chromexcel, Navy Cavalier Chromexcel, or Tan Orion Suede. You’ll also have your choice of size.
What began as one man’s determination to create his own pair of custom shoes is now an established footwear company. Founded by Ben Ransom in St. Paul, Minnesota, Lanona strives to produce designs that inspire a lifestyle of adventure and discovery. And by sourcing materials from American companies like Horween, Lanona is part of a burgeoning movement honoring the country’s heritage of craftsmanship.
Lanona recommends going true-to-size on this model if you have an average or slightly wide foot. If you have a narrow foot, consider sizing down a half size. You can see more sizing information here.
