I bought my set plus the stand on Amazon with free shipping before the price on both items jumped. Packaging (original plastic clamshel) was crap, just like complaints here. Pieces were scattere, luckily nothing chipped and the oil didn't leak.
I like the set, and the security of being able to not stress over keeping the angle consistent when I hold the knife. Once I have the set out, swapping sides and stones is quick and easy. I did 5 knives the first time I played with it. Swapping knives is annoying and you will want tape or chamois cloth inside the clamp to protect the blade from scratches.
