I wish the guide rods were a little stronger, as if they're not all straight, or at least bent about the same, then your sharpening doesn't seem to come out as nice. Other than that it is a nice system for putting an edge on a blade.

ejn250I just stick with the same rod and only change the stone then hold the rod in the same spot in the hole so it’s much more consistent.
